Based on the ancient teachings of meditation and Yoga Nidra, iRest® is an evidence based transformative practice that leads to psychological, physical and spiritual healing and well-being.
Its practice is integrative, as it heals the various unresolved issues and traumas that are present in your body and mind, and restorative as it enables you to recognise your innate peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.
iRest provides you with tools to help you relax deeply, release stress, increase resiliency, improve your interpersonal relationships and provide you with greater mastery and control in your life.
iRest nourishes noble qualities such as joy, peacefulness, empathy, forgiveness, patience and loving kindness toward yourself and others, and supports you to resolve issues such as insomnia, anxiety, fear and depression.

Tina Shettigara introduced iRest to South Australia in 2014 and has since shared the practice with many people, assisting them on their path to healing. Tina is also South Australia's first IRI Certified iRest Teacher®. She offers short courses, workshops and retreats, including the introductory course "The Essence of iRest Yoga Nidra".
Tina is also available for individual consultation, either for your personal led Yoga Nidra practice or for a co-meditation iRest "dyad" in which you are guided through a deeply healing meditation in dialogue with the teacher.
This six week course teaches you the foundations of iRest Yoga Nidra as a meditative practice. This is a meditation course, not a movement class. In each class an aspect of the practice is discussed and explored, with the opportunity to tailor the practice to your own circumstances. Every week you will then be led through an iRest meditation practice. The course is accompanied by notes and a audio practices.
In this 8 week course the ten step protocol of iRest will be systematically presented in a way that is easily understood.
iRest® supports you by helping you to discover a deep sense of well being that you then are able to access as you process and heal deeply held issues and traumas
This course will include comprehensive notes and a practice CD. Classes are one and a half hours long and will include a few gentle movement practices.
iRest® Yoga Nidra, establishes a safe container before you begin a process of self inquiry over which you retain total control. iRest® helps you to integrate stressful and traumatic experiences and memories, and to restore your deepest sense of wholeness and wellbeing.
Evidence based research has shown that iRest is an effective adjunctive therapy for the treatment of PTSD, anxiety and depression. In the United States the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs are now utilizing iRest as treatment options for service men and women who are returning from duty with mental health issues.
