In this course you will learn:
as well as being steeped in and exploring this ancient Indian art form.
The first class will be the general introduction, pronunciation and knowledge of Swaras (Sur / Notes) and octaves.
The second and third Classes will be the Alankar (Alphabet of Music - Vocals), basic introduction of Alankar and Alankar singing. There will be a total of 10 Alankars in our syllabus.
In last two classes student will learn the rest of Alankars singing in Notes and in "Aakaar".
About your teacher:
Kuldeep Vyas is a qualified Indian classical Tabla player and Indian Classical Vocalist. After his school education he started learning Tabla from his Tutor Professor Shree Sudhir Kumar Saxena of Aajrada Gharana. He has done Post Graduation in Indian Classical Tabla as well as Indian Classical Vocal from M.S. University of Baroda.
During his professional career in India, he has performed in big festivals and major events. In addition to that, he was one of the judges appointed by Indian Government in the National competition of Indian Classical Instruments and Vocal. After coming to Australia, he has performed and composed fusion music in all big festivals. Wide open space festival, Adelaide OZ Asia festival, Adelaide Fringe festival, In Mercury Cinema on the occasion of South Asian Seniors Film Club Lunch, just to name a few. Currently, he is involved in teaching and performing in all communities, composing fusion music and music for dramas.
