Clinical consultations with Jo Bentley are a dialogue. Jo will listen to you to learn about your history and what is troubling you. She will then make a full assessment. Quite often a pain problem turning up in one part of the body is related to things happening in other parts. Jo will explain it all to you when you meet with her.
Over time and in the course of life we develop movement "habits". It can start quite young, perhaps by carrying a heavy school bag. And we start to carry the body in an odd way. This creates held patterns we are not even aware of, and eventually it can become painful.
Jo will be able to assess what might be happening. She can then come up with strategies that might help you and will explain it all to you. She will design a program that will address your needs and give you close supervision as you learn to do simple movements to help yourself.
Follow up sessions can allow you both to check how you are going, and adjust the program accordingly, and allow Jo to check how you are doing your exercises for maximum benefit.
