Friday 14 June 4.30pm to Sunday 16 June 2.30pm 2019

The beauty of retreat is that it promotes in us a gentle unraveling of the accumulated tensions that develop with the pressures of regular life. The peace and tranquility of a country location combined with inward practices and nurturing food, cooked for us with love, help us to let go and open up. On retreat we can experience a soft awakening to something fresh, free and relaxing as we touch the depth of Presence that is always here. Retreat experiences can be very valuable and help to move us in ways that would take much longer through weekly classes and home practice.

This retreat is in the traditional style of ashram life, away from gadgets and distractions. We will nurture our spirit with meditation, practiced seated, as yoga nidra, as movement (e.g. yoga, body sensing, walking meditation) and interactively, to take us deeper into who we truly are, discovering the peace of deep Presence and inner stillness. Movement practices will be gentle, mindful and restoring. You do not need to be practising advanced yogasana to attend and fully participate in this retreat.

This retreat will not be in full silence but a period of silence will be observed overnight.

Location

This retreat is held at Lokananda Retreat Centre located 90 minutes drive north of Adelaide at 9 Main Street Point Pass (past Eudunda). Lokananda is the closest venue we have to a traditional ashram in Adelaide, to allow you to be immersed in the full yogic experience. Nutritious vegetarian meals are cooked by retreat hosts Jan and Swami Dayananda. Accommodation is in small group rooms and there are three modern bathrooms to share. Bedrooms are heated and we will all be very comfortable. The numbers at this retreat will be small (maximum15). Let us know if you are coming with friends so we can ensure you can be accommodated together. The centre has beautiful grounds to walk in, including a labyrinth, a warm country style dining room with wood fire, a sitting room where retreat participants may sit and read or chat, and a cozy practice room. The ambiance of the old stone buildings and country setting contribute beautifully to the retreat experience.

Price

Early bird for payment in full by 17 May 2019 $375 (Late price $415) inclusive of meals, accommodation, tuition.

Past participant of Inner Stillness retreat with Tina
This is a unique experience and Tina is a warm and guiding teacher. All of the practices celebrate life, connection and understanding. The grounds are beautiful and everything is exceptionally clean. Be ready to sit for long periods though there is lots of free time and the body sensing practice gets you moving like nothing else. It's a wonderful experience!
