In this workshop you will learn:
Familiarity with the structures and principles
Recognition of the symptoms of possible SIJ dysfunction
What to do when acute
How to start rehab as ease allows
How to stabilize the SIJ
How to strengthen the musculature that can maintain stability
The practical side of the workshop will take you through the adjustments you need to make to your āsana practice when in an acute flare-up, and a protocol for healing.
This workshop is suitable for:
Anyone with low back pain
Yoga practitioners keen to have a greater sense of their body-mind connection
Yoga teachers who would like to expand their practical anatomy and find new skills to work with their students (Yoga teachers can request a certificate from the facilitator for the purposes of CPD, valid for Yoga Australia members.)
What you need:
A yoga mat, yoga strap and yoga blanket are required for this workshop which may be supplied by the host venue. A muscle release ball will be provided on loan by facilitator.
Handout notes will be supplied.
