Yoga Spirit Studios is no longer offering

a teacher training program

Yoga Spirit Studios has been running a top quality teacher training program that fully complies with the high standards of Yoga Australia for over a decade. In that time we have produced many fine teachers, some of whom are now senior teachers in South Australia and elsewhere.

It has been a decade of rapid change in the yoga scene in Australia. With few pathways available for true deepening of their yoga we have seen many people choose teacher training as a way to deepen their yoga learning. We have seen nearly all of our graduates go on to teach, no matter what their initial motivation.

There has also been an explosion of teacher training programs, many of them short and cheap. There are now so many yoga teachers that we have probably reached saturation point and teachers and studios are in steep competition with each other. For yoga teachers it is less and less viable as a reasonable source of income.

Similarly with teacher training programs. With so many budget priced and fast tracked courses around (and you do get what you pay for), and being unwilling to compromise our standards we have had fewer people enroll in our program.

Sadly, it seems that this is the sign of the demise of excellence in teacher training.

So we regret that Yoga Spirit Studios will no longer be training yoga teachers.
