This course is an introduction to meditation techniques from various traditions.
Meditation has been shown to have beneficial effects for mind and body. This course introduces meditation without requiring the participant to adopt any particular belief system.
Course content includes:
* Sitting positions, including meditation in chairs
* Overcoming distractions
* The nature of the mind
* Awareness techniques
* Points of focus and concentration
* Work with visualisations, energy and chakras
* Meditations that focus on emotions
* Comprehensive notes
Please note: There are no drop in classes for these courses. Courses are also not transferable to another person after the course has commenced.
About the teacher: Tina Shettigara
Tina is a long time yoga and meditation practitioner. In this course she shares many different techniques that she has learnt and practiced over the years. Among other qualifications Tina is a registered Level 2 Yoga Teacher (Yoga Australia) and IRI Certified iRest Teacher®.
