You have been doing yoga for a while and are blown away by the changes you know are happening for you in your body, mind and spirit. You are attending classes regularly but there is a growing feeling that there is more, much more. You crave guidance to follow this through but are not sure where to start.
Your personal practice is important.
“While having a teacher’s guidance and outer direction is important at many stages of Yoga Practice, we make a quantum leap when we begin to direct our own practice. That means practicing on our own.” - Donna Farhi Bringing Yoga to Life chapter 10
Perhaps though turning up to an appointment you have with your Self on the mat or meditation cushion each day seems just too hard.
Many people undertake a teacher training at this point, not necessarily because they wish to teach, but just to learn more. This is a valid path. Our teacher training will guide you in learning more about the body, how it moves, about the philosophy of yoga, about the yoga lifestyle, and help you build your personal practice. You don’t even need to do the whole course. Many subjects are offered individually. See what’s on offer right now.
Private appointments allow you to bring questions to explore whether this is in regards to your practice of asana or your deeper reflections and what is arising in your meditation practice. If in doubt about the direction you should take, a private appointment might help you to find your way. Call the studio or approach your teacher to arrange.
Events and retreats give opportunities to immerse and deepen your path. We often have visiting teachers providing workshops at the studio, which can be like non-residential mini-retreats and our own staff also lead workshops from time to time. See what’s on offer right now.
