RELAXATION

Restorative yoga practice is relaxing and rejuvenating. For this reason we have a Midweek Restorative class with Vanessa, and we highly recommend that you include a restorative practice in your regular classes at least once a month.

Wednesday evenings 7.30pm in the Studio Room. Bookings are not required and you can use your Yoga Spirit class pass to attend.

MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS
4 WEEK INTRODUCTORY COURSES

Our four week courses are designed  to gently introduce you to relaxation and meditation practices. Even from a short time spent involved in these practices you will feel the benefits of having dedicated part of your evening to this nurturing and enjoyable session.

Benefits of these practices include a clearer mind, a deeper feeling of inner calm, the ability to accept and move through challenging and stressful life events with more ease and acceptance, improved immunity, increased energy levels and sometimes even feeling happy for no good reason!

Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome.
Blankets, mats and chairs are available. Wear comfortable, stretchy clothes.

Please note:
You can choose to sit on a chair or on the floor for meditation.

Class content includes:

  • Gentle stretching
  • Guided relaxation techniques
  • Breathing exercises
  • Visualizations
  • Meditations
  • Being mindful in everyday life
  • Posture awareness and how to sit.

Our Beginners  Meditation 4 week courses are easy to fit into a busy lifestyle. You don’t have to make a big commitment but you will still get a taste of what its like to meditate and you will have some techniques you can practice anywhere to help improve your appreciation of daily life.

Bookings will be confirmed by email or phone. Please arrive 10 minutes early on the first day of the class. Wear comfortable clothes.

REGULAR MEDITATION CLASSES

Commencing in February 2012 there will be a weekly class included in the Ongoing classes program that will have an emphasis on meditation. The class will include some easy postures to stretch and release tension in the body and breathing practices to prepare for meditation. Bookings will not be required for this class and you will be able to use your Yoga Spirit class pass to attend. Watch for details.
